Mrs. Larson
currently teaches Math, Algebra 1 and Geometry 1. She earned her
B.A. degree in Elementary Education from the
University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, Colorado. In addition,
Mrs. Larson has also
completed her master's studies in Middle School Education and
received
a Master's Degree from the University of New England.
Mrs. Larson has also met the rigorous requirements needed to become recognized as a National Board Certified teacher.
Mrs. Larson sponsors the National Junior Honor Society at South Valley MIddle School. |

Mr. Pravlik is currently our 8th grade science teacher. He received his undergraduate degree in Kinesiology and later received his first graduate degree in Kinesiology from the University of Northern Colorado. Mr. Pravlik has recently completed his second masters degree. In 1997, Mr. Pravlik received an Honorarble Discharge from the United States Marine Corp . Mr. Pravlik also coaches football for the combined North and South Valley Middle School football team. |

Mr. Vanzant is currently our 7th and 8th grade Social Studies teacher. He received his BA from Ft. Lewis College in Durango, Colorado and he is currently working on his masters degree. |

Mr. Aguirre
|
Mr. Aguirre currently teaches 8th grade Language Arts. In 1999, Mr. Aguirre earned his bachelor's degree in Music education at UNC. Mr. Aguirre returned to UNC and successfully completed the course work and passed the Colorado PLACE test to become qualified to teach Language Arts. Mr. Aguirre loves to play the piano, read and spend time with his wife and daughter. Most importantly, however, Mr. Aguirre is thrilled to be here in Platteville sharing the joy of reading and writing with the students of SVMS. |
