7th Grade Outdoor Education

Seventh graders have the opportunity to participate in a few extended day field trips during which they explore different life zones as part of South Valley Middle School's outdoor education program.  During the 2000-2001 school year the seventh grade students visited Rocky Mountain National Park, the Pawnee National Grasslands, and Barr Lake.  All of these areas are within easy commuting distance of the school and the life zones vary from the delicate alpine tundra to the arid prairie grasslands to lakes and wetlands.

We hope that you enjoy reading about our visits to Rocky Mountain National ParkPawnee National Grasslands, and Barr Lake.  We took some photos and want to share our favorites with you.  Thanks for taking the time to view our photos and for waiting for the photos to load.
